Jonathan Blumtritt has been part of the CCeH management team since October 2019 and is responsible for the coordination office for Digital Humanities at the AWK.
He studied modern history, economic and social history and computer science at the University of Jena and the University of Bonn. Since 2011, he has worked on a large number of digital humanities projects in various roles at the CCeH. As an employee of the Data Center for the Humanities, he was responsible for the development and implementation of a consulting and support service for research data management at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities from 2013 to 2019. From 2015 to 2019, he supported the project management in the BMBF joint project “Cologne Center Analysis and Archiving of Audio-Visual Data” (KA³) as technical coordinator.
At the CCeH he coordinates various cooperation projects, including “Beguines in Cologne” (DFG), “Materi-A-Net” (ANR-DFG) and the “Reallexikon für Antike und Christentum: Intelligentes Register” (AWK-NRW/Gielen-Leyendecker-Stiftung) and is intensively involved in the CCeH’s participation in the humanities consortia in the NFDI (National Research Data Infrastructure).
