Jan Bigalke studied Historical Cultural Studies Information Processing and History at the University of Cologne. In his Master’s degree, he focused entirely on digital humanities with the Information Processing course. He was already employed as a student assistant at the CCeH during his bachelor’s degree and helped to further develop the digital archive Monasterium.net. During his Master’s degree, he worked as a research assistant on the “Kleine Fragmentarische Historiker” project. After completing his Master’s degree, he was taken on as a research assistant at the CCeH and has since worked primarily on the “Beguines in Cologne” and “DigiByzSeals” projects. He is responsible for the digital implementation of each of these. His main focus is on X technologies.
