Werdegang
Marcel Schaeben Philosophie und Betriebspädagogik/Wissenspsychologie (2-Fach BA) an der RWTH Aachen studiert und war dort als studentische Hilfskraft bei den Interdisziplinären Foren der RWTH Aachen (Print- und Webredaktion) sowie am Institut für Denkmalpflege (Webentwicklung) tätig. Im Anschluss studierte er European Multimedia Arts and Cultural Heritage Studies (EuroMACHS) bzw. Informationsverarbeitung (MA) an der Universität zu Köln und der Universidade de Coimbra. Für seine Masterarbeit „Software prototyping as a research method in digital philology: Exploring Marco Polo’s textual transmission and reception through map‐based visualisations of toponymic variance“ erhielt er 2021 den Fakultätspreis der Philosophischen Fakultät.
Seit 2014 ist er am CCeH insbesondere für die im Rahmen der Akademiekooperation betreuten Projekte zuständig und koordiniert zudem die technische Infrastruktur des Zentrums.
